TN Promise Scholarship Deadline Is Monday, November 2: Seniors Must Apply |
Tennessee high school seniors have a time-sensitive opportunity to remain eligible for tuition assistance and direct admissions offers |

A Deadline Families Should Not Miss
Tennessee high school seniors have until Monday, November 2, 2026, to complete the TN Promise scholarship application.
The Tennessee Higher Education Commission has reminded families that missing this deadline may affect eligibility for the state's tuition-assistance pathway.
The same application also connects qualifying students with opportunities through TN Direct Admissions.
What TN Promise Covers
TN Promise is a last-dollar scholarship for eligible students at Tennessee community colleges, Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology and certain other participating institutions.
It helps pay eligible tuition and mandatory fees after applicable federal and state grant aid is taken into account.
Other program requirements, including mentoring, meetings or community service where applicable, still must be completed.
How to Apply
Students can visit CollegeforTN.org and use the Tennessee Higher Education Commission student portal to submit the application.
They should verify that the application has been received and follow up on any required next steps.
Students and families should not confuse TN Promise with the separate UT Promise scholarship, which has different eligibility rules and deadlines.
Why Act Now
Even students still deciding where to enroll can benefit from keeping the scholarship option available.
School counselors can help seniors identify any outstanding application requirements.
Because November 2 falls only days after this newsletter, families are encouraged to complete the process promptly rather than risk a last-minute problem. |
